NORWALK, Ohio (Aug. 08, 2022) – John Force and the PEAK / Cornwell Tools Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car had a runner-up finish at the 45th annual Cornwell Tools Night Under Fire at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park on Saturday, August 6.
In front of packed grandstands, Force and the PEAK / Cornwell Tools Chevy just came up short running a 3.93-second pass at 327.90 mph that was narrowly defeated by Alexis DeJoria’s 3.92.
Robert Hight was also in attendance representing John Force Racing driving the AAA Ohio / Monster Energy Chevy Camaro SS. The defending event winners managed the quickest pass of the night at 3.914-seconds to defeat Dale Creasy Jr.
All four John Force Racing teams will resume NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series competition this weekend, August 12-14, at the Menards NHRA Nationals at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka, Kansas.
