KENT, Wash. (July 20, 2024) – Austin Prock avenged a .001 of second semifinal loss to Bob Tasca III two weeks ago at Norwalk, Ohio, then outran Ron Capps in the final round to win Saturday’s Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge, a prelude to the 35th NHRA Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways.

It was the fourth straight #2Fast2Tasty triumph for the 28-year-old driver of the Cornwell Tools Chevrolet Camaro SS and it puts him in position to double up on Sunday when he starts the weekend’s main event from the No. 1 qualifying position.

“I was really nervous this morning for whatever reason,” Prock said. “It felt like Sunday morning, not Saturday. But we got over it and won a #2Fast2Tasty for Frank Tiegs (whose Rocky Mountain Twist/Montana Brand company sponsored Prock during his brief Top Fuel career) and John Force.”

Overall, Prock now has won five outright #2Fast2Tasty trophies and shared a sixth with J.R. Todd.
