BROWNSBURG, Ind (Aug. 27, 2025) – The unbelievable speed has been visible from the beginning of the year and the performance consistency Brittany Force and her John Force Racing Top Fuel team have been looking for throughout the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing season has made itself known as the team readies for the Aug. 27-Sept. 1 Cornwell Quality Tools U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Notes

  • Brittany’s John Force Racing Top Fuel Dragster will carry the Cornwell Quality Tools paint scheme; it will be the first time she’s competed in the livery in an NHRA-sanctioned event.
  • The 2017 and 2022 NHRA Top Fuel Champion has four U.S. Nationals No. 1 Qualifier efforts on her resume, earning the top spot in 2019, 2021, 2022, and last year.
  • The Yorba Linda, Calif., native has two U.S. Nationals runner-up finishes, in 2021 and 2022
  • Brittany owns both the ends of the NHRA Top Fuel performance record (3.623 seconds and 343.16 mph) and has made 10 runs at more than 340 mph
  • The 18-time Top Fuel event winner is currently fifth in the 2025 Mission Foods Top Fuel point standings, 94 behind Justin Ashley in fourth place, while two ahead of Antron Brown in sixth and 113 ahead of Clay Millican in seventh.
  • In 2025, she has one victory (New Hampshire) and three No. 1 Qualifiers (Pomona, Virginia, Sonoma).
  • The Dave Grubnic/John Collins/Chuck Grospitch-led team has one #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challeng win, at Sonoma, in four total appearances in 2025.
  • JFR drivers have won 15 times at Indy — 14 times in Funny Car and once in Top Alcohol Dragster. In 1993 and 1996, John Force won both the US Nationals and the Funny Car bonus race (at the time, the Big Bud Shootout).  In 2004, Gary Densham, won both the U.S. Nationals and the Skoal Showdown driving a JFR Funny Car with Jimmy Prock as crew chief.
  • Cornwell Tools has gotten creative in their support of Task Force Rahal (TFR).
    • They will donate $350 for each 84” Platinum Series and 79” ARCA Series toolbox they sell during their 6-week Veteran’s Day promotion (10/23-12/7)
    • They have donated one of these 84” Platinum Series boxes in a patriotic theme to Task Force Rahal ($17k value)
    • Donating to Task Force Rahal is still the goal.  Beginning with this event, every donation of at least $100 will be entered to win the Cornwell Tools toolbox.  TFR will select a winner during our final race of the season in Pomona.

Quotes

What is your confidence level going into this weekend’s Cornwell Quality Tools U.S. Nationals?

I feel confident heading into the Cornwell Quality Tools U.S. Nationals after a solid weekend in Brainerd. This is a racetrack we’ve had solid performance with four No. 1 qualifiers and a runner up finish twice. This is the biggest event of our season, and our Cornwell Quality Tools teams would love to bring home our first Indy win this weekend.

You’re fifth in points, 94 behind Ashley for fourth going into Indy’s points-and-a-half weekend. Do you focus on the points position or just clicking win lights on Monday?

Our team’s focus is one run at a time. Our first priority is getting our car qualified in a Top 5 position. Next is taking advantage of qualifying, making consistent runs and picking up as making points as we can. Finally, our focus is turning on win lights on race day.

You team was strong and consistent at Brainerd … do you feel the momentum growing heading into Indy and then the Countdown?

I definitely feel this team has turned a corner at the right time. Our performance has been inching closer to the winner circles and last weekend in Brainerd was proof of that. Indy is a great chance to move up in points before the Countdown begins. Indy will be big for us as we need to lock into the countdown and the added points come into play. We need to have a strong finish in Indy to get us ready for the final six races.

Continuing the momentum theme, does your mindset change when the points reset after Indy?

The mindset does change for me and the entire time once the Countdown kicks off. Mistakes can’t be made this far into the game and we have to make sure we stay completely focused on the goal. Our goal is to finish in the number 1 spot. It’s not going to be easy but we’ve done it before. It’s anyone’s game after Indy and it this team will fight it out until the end.
