BROWNSBURG, Ind. (Nov. 12, 2025) – John Force Racing’s PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS Funny Car team is focused on serving up an incredibly unique win with driver Jack Beckman at the Nov. 13-16 In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals, a feat that could come straight out of the legendary burger joint’s secret menu.
The 2012 NHRA Funny Car Champion, currently third in the 2025 point standings, is seeking a fifth straight win at his home track, In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip. Beckman won the 2019 Finals and the 2020 Winternationals but there was no race at Pomona in the fall of 2020 because of the COVID pandemic. He sat out the next three seasons so his next Pomona appearance wasn’t until the 2024 Finals, which he won John Force Racing, and then he won this year’s Winternationals. So, though it’s taken seven years, Fast Jack has four straight wins at Pomona and is working on five as the defending race champion.
The 2025 NHRA Funny Car point standings heading into the season finale are: Austin Prock, 2,594; Matt Hagan, 2,493; Jack Beckman, 2,416; Ron Capps, 2,370; Daniel Wilkerson, 2,369; Paul Lee, 2,289; Chad Green, 2,288; Cruz Pedregon, 2,283; Spencer Hyde, 2,272; Bob Tasca III (2,264).
Notes
- Fast Jack has earned the Funny Car No. 1 Qualifier four times at In-N-Out Pomona Dragway, three in the Finals (2006, 2016, 2017) and the 2016 Winternationals.
- Beckman’s two NHRA Sportsman wins also came at In-N-Out Pomona Dragstrip, both in Super Comp at the Winternationals (1998 and 2003).
- John Force Racing drivers have won 34 times at Pomona … 31 times in Funny Car, twice in Top Fuel (Brittany Force, 2017; Austin Prock, 2022) and once in Top Alcohol Dragster (Ashley Force Hood, 2004) … 15 of those wins have come in the Finals
Quotes
What are your memories of last year’s Finals win against your teammate?
“Pomona is a unique race in that there’s no permanent lighting there, so they have to bring temporary lighting. NHRA tries to have the final rounds wrapped up well before sunset, but they didn’t last year. We got delayed and delayed. It was well into night when we ran that final, and the track was getting cool to the point that it was getting outside of our data set. I think that affected Austin’s car. They went out there and shook and he had to lift, and I went the quickest run in my career on that pass, so it was kind of a icing on the cake, not just to close the season, but do it with a career-best run.”
You’re now just 67 back of Hagen and with points and a half. What would it mean to you to get past to get back around him and to wrap up your season?
“Well, I’m still stinging about Las Vegas because we shouldn’t be 67 points behind him. My reaction times the last two or three races have been subpar. I think we’ve had a PEAK Chevy that could win any of those races and we didn’t so it would mean some redemption for me after putting us in a tough position. Even with points-and-a-half at Pomona, Hagan’s still more than two rounds ahead of us unless we can gather back at least eight points on him in qualifying, which is a pretty full order. So, at the end of the day, unless we race him in the first or second round, we can’t control whether we get around him in the points, so our goal is just to race smart and leave with a trophy.”
With this being Britney’s last race, reflect on her as a teammate and what she’s meant to the NHRA during her career?
“Let me describe the character of Britney: I’ll go back to the Dallas event in 2024, where Sunday morning I spent all day in the emergency room with vertigo and never even went out to the racetrack. I wasn’t able to show up for first round and Brittany went up there and stood in the lane I would’ve been in for the first round as a show of support. She’s a class act. I wish her and Bobby well in whatever they do from this point on. I would love to see her in some way, shape or form to still be involved with JFR and maybe come to a couple of races a year. She’s been an awesome teammate. I loved watching her win last event in Las Vegas, because you never know if your last win was your last win, but what a great way for her to wind down what’s been a double championship career. She’s got one more shot at a win, and I like nothing more than to stand in the winner’s circle with both of us holding trophies at Pomona.”
