AUSTIN PROCK AND MONTANA BRAND / RMT LOOKING TO BUILD ON GLIMPSES OF BRILLIANCE AT NHRA FOUR-WIDE NATIONALS

CONCORD, N.C. (April 28, 2022) – Holding steady at sixth in the NHRA Camping World points standings, Austin Prock and his Montana Brand / Rocky Mountain Twist dragster team have taken the first five races of the season to learn and take notes. Heading into this weekend’s Circle K NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway, they’ll look to put their studies to good use.

Prock kicked off his return to the seat of the Montana Brand/Rocky Mountain Twist dragster with a final round appearance at the season-opening Winternationals at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, Calif. He initially jumped from ninth to sixth in points after racing to the second quad at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. At the most recent event at Houston Raceway Park, Prock had one of his best qualifying efforts but had his raceday cut short in the second round to eventual runner-up Justin Ashley due to a red-light from a misstep at the starting line.

“I’m happy to be back in Charlotte for the Four-Wide Nationals. I’m looking forward to going some rounds and showing what this Montana Brand / Rocky Mountain Twist team is capable,” Prock said. “We’re striding in the right direction, learning a lot. I’m really comfortable in the car. It’s going to be a successful weekend; I can feel it.”

Making just his second appearance in the Charlotte Four-Wide and only his fourth appearance in a four-wide race of any kind, Prock is trying to join the company of teammates John Force, Brittany Force and Robert Hight, all of whom have hoisted a four-wide trophy.

Qualifying at the Circle K NHRA Four-Wide Nationals begins Friday with sessions at 4:15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. ET and continues Saturday with additional sessions at 1:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. Eliminations are slated to begin Sunday at noon.
