BRISTOL, Tenn. (June 07, 2023) – Austin Prock and the Montana Brand / Rocky Mountain Twist Chevrolet dragster team head to Bristol Dragway sitting third in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series with an opportunity to make a major move in the championship points battle. Competing in not only the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals, but they’ll also have a chance at victory in the postponed NHRA New England Nationals.

Prock has gone to the finals twice this season with a victory in Charlotte at the Four-Wide Nationals. It was a significant milestone marking his first victory of the season, first in Four-Wide and first in Top Fuel for seasoned crew chief Chris Cunningham, who was previously part of the crew chief tandem on Robert Hight’s Funny Car with Jimmy Prock.

“I’m excited for a big weekend in Bristol. Every round has a possibility of high excitement. This Montana Brand / Rocky Mount Twist team is hoping to get off on the right foot in the first qualifying session and carry that through the weekend,” Prock said. “There is potential to make a big points gain this weekend and I believe we have all the tools on this team to do just that.”

Prock has only two other starts at Bristol Dragway, both times having a first-round exit. After qualifying seventh with only two runs in Epping last weekend, Prock will start New England Nationals’ competition with a first-round matchup against Steve Torrence.
