ENNIS, Texas (Oct. 11, 2025) – John Force Racing’s Austin Prock, Jack Beckman and Brittany Force held on to their qualifying positions from Friday night’s runs and will have lane choice for Sunday’s first round of eliminations for the 40th NHRA Mission Foods Texas Fall Nationals at the Texas Motorplex.
Prock earned his sixth No. 1 qualifying spot of the 2025 season from Friday night’s run of 3.876 seconds at 336.07 mph. The Jimmy Prock/Thomas Prock/Nate Hildahl-led team backed up that run with Saturday’s runs in the heat of 3.998 seconds at 326.44 mph and 3.934 seconds at 330.18 mph. Prock will line up the Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS Funny Car against No. 16 qualifier Blake Alexander (4.124/309.38) in Sunday’s first round of eliminations.
Beckman maintained the third spot on the ladder with his Friday night run in the PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS Funny Car of 3.892 seconds at 330.83 mph. The PEAK SQUAD, led by Daniel Hood, Chris Cunningham and Tim Fabrisi, ran 4.021 seconds at 309.83 mph in Saturday’s first session. Then, in the final qualifying session, a malfunction in the timing system started the clock in Beckman’s lane despite the car not moving, which then affected his reaction time to the tree and resulted in a lap of 4.800 seconds at 327.77 mph. Beckman will face No. 14 qualifier Dave Richards (4.074/316.81) in Sunday’s first round of eliminations.
Force had four very competitive and consistent rounds of qualifying, capped off with Friday night’s run of 3.703 seconds at 340.57 mph, her 11th 340-mph run of the season and the first in Texas Motorplex history. In addition to the run that put her sixth in the qualifying order, the Dave Grubnic/John Collins-led team provided her with runs of 3.874 seconds at 329.79 mph in Q1, 3.863 seconds at 331.32 in Q3 and 3.845 seconds at 330.69 mph in Q4. The two-time NHRA Top Fuel Champion will face NO. 11 qualifier Tony Schumacher (3.745/335.50) in Sunday’s first round of eliminations.
Final eliminations are scheduled for 10 a.m. C.T. on Sunday, Oct. 12.
Quotes from Brittany Force, Monster Energy Top Fuel Dragster:
“The Monster Energy team has been very consistent all week long. We’ve gone down the racetrack clean every single lap. We’ve run consistently in the 3.80s and the 3.70 in the Friday night session. So, we’re in a good position qualifying sixth and we line up with Tony Schumacher tomorrow morning. Our plan is to go some rounds on race day. We’ve been out of the winner’s circle since Epping in June, so we’d love to do it here at the Texas Motorplex.”
Quotes from Austin Prock, Cornwell Tools Chevrolet SS Funny Car:
“The points are so close right now, so we just have to focus on going out and winning every race that’s left,” Prock said. “Whoever wins the most in this next three-race shootout is going to be world champion. We’ve got to focus on our race car and what we’re doing, and right now, our race car looks good. We need to get as many of those (wins) as we can.
“I feel like our two runs today were more impressive than our run last night, getting down the racetrack efficiently and quickly and a few hundredths ahead of the field definitely feels good.”
Quotes from Jack Beckman, PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet SS Funny Car:
‘In three of the four qualifying runs, our PEAK Chevy was quick enough to be a top three car. We’ll have lane choice tomorrow against Dave Richards and that car runs consistent. At this point, the quickest session almost certainly will be first round tomorrow. We start an hour earlier than we normally would here, and it’s just going to get hotter from that point on. So, we know we have enough car to outrun Richards oi both teams perform at their best, but we don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves. We’re looking to protect lane choice for tomorrow, so we have to be aggressive first round.
