The 50th Anniversary U.S. Nationals:
One for the history books, and the memory banks.

The 50th Anniversary Mac Tools U.S. Nationals is history now, an incredible blend of nostalgic reminiscences and modern-day heroics, six days of memories and horsepower as yesterday’s legends mingled with today’s superstars in front of the largest crowd in NHRA history. From its auspicious yet humble beginnings on an airport runway in Great Bend, Kan., in 1955 to the white-hot spotlight at today’s modern-day arena at Indianapolis Raceway Park, the 50 editions of the U.S. Nationals have thrilled race fans for five decades, as the pages of this special website will attest.

Twelve champions were crowned as winners of one of the 2005 event, surely some of the most coveted Wally trophies to ever be awarded. Congratulations to Tony Schumacher, Gary Densham, Greg Anderson, Antron Brown, Jim Halsey, Ashley Force, Bob Newberry, David Rampy, Joe LoCicero, Lee Zane, Rick Beckstrom, and Ron Erks, champions of the 50th Anniversary Mac Tools U.S. Nationals.
